Audio Experiments
Binaural Beats are a phenomenon of perceived sounds created when two similar frequencies are heard in separate channels (usually left and right stereo headphones.) When these frequencies are heard without headphones, the phenomenon changes from a temporal sensation to an auditory sensation called a monaural beat. (Its kind of like two rocks in a pond...each makes its own ripple, but then those ripples crash into eachother making new ripples.) For more information, please check the Research link at the bottom of the page.
Click anywhere on the blurbs of info to link to the sounds or external sites. If you open each of these sounds in a separate browser window, you can use your internet connection as a psuedo - audio track mixer. (Open each sound, then resize the windows so that you can lay them out on your screen and then play them all or mix and match them.)
The following links are 5 minute samples of longer versions that will be available soon on this page. Please feel free to download any and all of these files. Some of them may take a while to download, so be patient. The first set of samples is for a deep meditative experience and the second set of samples is for a more alert and cognitive experience.
Audacity is a free, cross platform sound editor you can use to put these sounds together for your self and create your own meditations. Just click anywhere on this blurb about Audacity to go to their site and download the open source files
This next set of samples can be downloaded and looped for however long you want. There is no change in the left and right frequencies and you can use the pink noise above and either the Beach sample or the Cybirds sample to add a little flavor to the mix. You can also add your own compositions for a more pleasurable experience.

Right at 110.21Hz - sample - this is a simple sine wave at 110.21Hz in the right audio channel.
